1. About these terms
These are the platform terms of Caribbean Payments Alliance ("CPA"), the payment technology provider. They are not the terms of the merchant you are paying — each merchant publishes their own terms, refund and privacy policies, linked on their checkout page.
2. Our role
CPA provides payment technology to merchants. Each merchant connects their own payment processor and merchant account. Funds from your payment are settled to the merchant through their processor and bank. CPA does not hold, pool or take custody of customer funds.
3. Your payment
The goods or services you are paying for are supplied by the merchant shown on the checkout page, not by CPA. The amount, currency and description displayed at checkout are provided by that merchant. Card details are captured on the processor's secure hosted payment page.
4. Refunds, disputes and cancellations
Refund and cancellation requests are handled by the merchant under their own policy. See our Refund Policy for how CPA supports merchants in processing approved refunds. If you do not recognise a charge, contact the merchant first, then CPA support.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use CPA payment pages for unlawful, fraudulent or prohibited activity, or to attempt unauthorised access to any system. We may decline or reverse transactions that breach these terms or applicable law and regulatory obligations.
6. Security
Payment pages are served over HTTPS/TLS. Cardholder data is handled by PCI DSS compliant processors. CPA does not store full card numbers, CVV codes or gateway credentials.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CPA is not liable for the goods or services supplied by a merchant, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version shown at the time of your payment applies to that payment. These terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
