Everything you need — from picking a template to taking your first payment. About 25 minutes in total, and nothing reaches the public until you press Publish.
We are recording a screen-by-screen video right now. Until it lands, the written steps below cover the whole journey — and the builder itself runs a short guided tour the first time you open it.
The 7 steps
1
Pick your design
2 min
Choose the template that matches your business. You can change it any time.
Open the Design step in the strip at the top of the builder.
Browse the templates — each card shows a live thumbnail of the layout.
Click a template. A blue border and a "Selected" tick confirm your choice.
The preview on the right refreshes immediately with your new look.
Switching templates keeps your text and images — only the layout and styling change.
2
Add your logo & colours
3 min
Make the site yours: business name, logo, brand colours and fonts.
Go to the Customize step.
Upload your logo (PNG or JPG, ideally 400px wide or larger).
Set your primary and accent colours — the whole site updates at once.
Type your business name exactly as customers should see it.
No logo yet? Leave it blank — your business name is shown as styled text instead.
3
Edit your pages & sections
10 min
Sections are the building blocks of your page: hero banner, about, gallery, products, contact.
Go to the Content step. The left pane lists your sections, the right pane is a live preview.
Click any section in the preview — its editor opens on the left instantly.
Use "Add section" to insert a new block, then drag it to reorder.
Use the copy icon on a card to duplicate a section instead of rebuilding it.
Use the eye icon to hide a section without deleting it.
Made a change you dislike? Click the clock icon in the top bar to restore any of your last 10 auto-saved versions.
4
Add images & video
5 min
Replace stock imagery with your own photos, and embed a YouTube or Vimeo video.
Open any section that shows an image and click the image itself.
Choose "Upload" for your own photo, or "Browse library" to pick a free stock image.
For video, add a Video section and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link — it embeds automatically.
Landscape photos (wider than tall) look best in banners and hero areas.
Keep photos under 5 MB so your site loads fast on mobile data.
5
Turn on payments
5 min
Connect your processor so customers can actually check out.
Go to the Payments step.
Pick your processor and enter the credentials from your merchant account.
Save, then watch the "Payment Ready" badge at the top turn green.
Place one small test order to confirm money flows end to end.
A red or amber Payment Ready badge means customers cannot pay yet — fix this before you advertise your site.
6
Save your work
1 min
The builder auto-saves, and the pill in the top bar always tells you where you stand.
"Unsaved changes" (amber, pulsing) — click it, or press Save, to store your work.
"Saving…" — in progress, do not close the tab.
"Saved 5s ago" (green) — everything is safely stored.
"Save failed — click to retry" — click the pill to try again.
Saving is not the same as publishing. Saved changes are private until you publish.
7
Publish & go live
1 min
Publishing pushes your saved draft out to your live web address.
Click Preview Website to check the real thing in a new tab.
Happy? Click the green Publish button in the top bar.
The status badge switches from "draft" to "published".
Every later edit needs Save then Republish to reach your visitors.
Publishing is safe and reversible — you can keep editing and republish as often as you like.
Troubleshooting
The preview pane is blank or stuck loading.
Press Save, then refresh the browser tab. If it persists, open Preview Website in a new tab to confirm the site itself is fine.
My uploaded image does not appear.
Check the file is under 5 MB and is a PNG or JPG. Re-upload, then press Save.
"No store found" when logging in.
You are using a different email than the one your store was created under. Try the original signup email, or email support with both addresses.
Publish button does nothing.
You may have an unsaved change blocking it. Press Save first, wait for the green pill, then Publish.
Frequently asked
No. Your text, images and sections stay. Only the layout, spacing and styling change.
Save stores your work privately in the builder. Publish copies your saved draft to the live website your customers see.
You saved but did not republish. Press Save, then press Republish in the top bar, then hard-refresh the live page.
Use the undo arrow in the top bar for the last few actions, or the clock icon to restore a full earlier snapshot of the page.
Yes, but the builder is far easier on a laptop or tablet because you can see the section list and the live preview side by side.
Check the Payment Ready badge at the top of the builder. If it is not green, open the Payments step and complete your processor setup.
Open the Domain step from the dashboard menu and follow the DNS instructions shown there, or email support and we will do it for you.
Yes. Click Tutorial in the builder top bar and choose "Restart guided tour".
Still stuck? We will do it with you.
